This is a huge book and at times it does feel like it. There's a lot of back and forth between Joey and Aoife. Here we're finally caught up to Shannon's story and we're seeing things in Joey's POV but it's not a huge focal point in this one which I'm grateful for because I kind of struggle with books that tell the same story just in a different POV. But like I said this one does feel like a big book at times because the pacing is slower/medium and at times it does feel like it's dragging a little bit. It's like every time Joey gets a step ahead there's like 3 steps backward and it does finally wear on him to the point he does eventually end up in rehab. It's a lot to take in but I do like how this one ended and I loved seeing more of all of the family and Johnny's family here. Plus, I loved whenever Gibsie appeared. I really can't wait to read his book!
