Steinbeck is like slipping into a warm bath on a cold fall day. The language he uses to express short and simple stories about his characters is ever amazing to me. He takes snap shots of the lives of characters that are both brilliantly intricate and extremely simple at the same time. He offers no solutions, only reality.
