The Stranger by Albert Camus
5.0
this book astonished me with how simple, yet brilliant it truly is. its short sentences expressed more than they'd convey. its sorcery, how he put so much emotions in apathy itself. i feel like there's a marsault is each and every one of us. we chose to pretend to "care" and "do" all the things society and community wants to do to so you wouldnt stand out like marsault did. he, however, stayed true to his nature and he, at the end, paid for it.
fake and hide your true apathy and carelessness because it wont take you far.
is that what it means to be free? i wonder..
