Convergence by Etta Pierce
3.0
I wanted to like this more than I did. There were two distinctly different plots. The adventure and rescue in the first half and then we spent the second half of the book reading about two morons who won’t talk to each other, try to not(?) have sex but do a terrible job.
If these plots were to have been combined this book would have earned far more stars from me.
I think the tension during the mission and the abduction would have benefited from the tension from the budding romance. I would even that the second half of this book wasn’t even necessary.
I liked the characters, I liked the first half of the book. But the second half let me down and basically was a setup for a “meet the parents” novel in book two.
Also Pom Pom was annoying. I hate when authors use children who are “wise beyond their years” as a plot device
