The book is divided on 3 parts: on the first the author talks about his experience visiting Africa and discovering a different point of view of that from US regarding race. On the second he talks about the banning of his book on a university in the USA motivated by white students who felt attacked by the way he represented white people on his book Between the World and Me. At last he talks about his experience visiting Palestine as journey twice, the first with a Palestinian guide and being hosted in Palestine and the second with a non-Palestinian guide and being hosted in Israel.
I’ve learned many things I didn’t know, like the control of Israel over Palestinian water even from rain, the invasion of Israel army, unannounced, to Palestinian houses to use as HQ, from that he even mentions an anagorism moment when a military from Israel recognizes how barbaric Israel’s attitude are towards Palestinians.
The book is very informative but sometimes I felt it became slow and repetitive.
