The story
Christi and Jack were in love years ago. But she has hot rock bottom and is no longer the spoilt rich girl. When she drives across the country to ask Jack for a loan, he refuses. Slowly though he starts seeing a whole new side to her, and his resolve wavers. It seems like Hope Harbour was meant to be for Christi, first she is offered work and then a place stay.

My thoughts
This sweet story focuses on forgiveness, which isn’t always easy to give. Both Christi and her friend and boss Beth are dealing with forgiveness, Christi is seeking it, Beth is struggling to give it. I enjoyed Christi’s capacity for putting in the hard work, both for herself, for the community and for those she loves. This story is a squeaky clean read with several Christian / religious elements.
