Just like the first one, this is like a 2000’s rom com that just didn’t age too well. Not that it’s bad, but kind of cringey. Gabi and Vic are a really cute couple, but I really didn’t understand the conflict in this story. I understand she thought their relationship was over after their agreement, but also the way Vic reacted once he realized there was an issue was blown really far out into proportion. Plus he realized how much he liked Gabi before she tried ending it, like he could have easily told her what he was thinking when they tried ending it. Also Luke is very protective over Gabi, but if my best friends partner did any of that I’d be so mad. It was a cute story and Gabi and Vic were cute together (also love the ADHD rep, + an Indian mmc), but everything else about this story was very cringe. However, I will still continue this series because it does bring me joy.
Side note, again there were so many mentions of “mine” and my “girl/woman” and those phrases need a limitation. It was too much in the first book and it’s too much in this one.
