I feel like the plot and characterization got kind of lost throughout the book. If you picked this book up because of the synopsis you will get disappointed like I had. If the book had been longer and continued on I probably would have liked it more than I had.       
update: Ive had time to think and I didn't like this book all that much, going from a  2.5 to a1.5
