Emmanuels book is a good introduction to a lot of topics that are important to understand as we build into a better world with less racism. He has a lot of good pointers and book recommendations to keep the learning and growing going, too.
I read this prior to him speaking at my company for a corporate event in 2020- the world was going wild and I would soon find out my world was being flipped upside down, too. It might have been early 2021. Emmanuel was a good speaker, a strong listener, and his mannerisms stick with me- the giant smile, the humilty, the kindness. You could see that he feels he is making the world a better place and creating a difference in partnership with everyone who engages in dialogue with him, and I agree with him. He was genuine and straight forward and told it like it is.
