Salt to the Sea by Ruta Sepetys
4.0
Salt to the Sea is a beautiful and heartbreaking story about four individuals during the evacuation from Germany in 1945. The chapters are short, with the perspective alternating between all four individuals, which makes it a quick, rather addicting read. I was always ready to know what happened next for each character, so found myself saying 'just one more chapter' over and over again. This is a YA novel, so it's an easy read, but it's also incredibly interesting Historical Fiction and brings to light an event in history that not many know about.
