Bonded omega gets ousted from her bonded pack by a scent match and then experiences TRAUMA.
Overall reco: Overall, it was a read, not amazing and not so bad that I needed to lambast and pick apart every plot hole and issue. I picked it up because I saw a blurp on tiktok that made my heart hurt and was in the mood for some pain. It delivered pretty well on that, I was writhing right along with the FMC in the first whole section of the book. At under 200 pages it felt like a good length and an interesting read, nothing to rush off to write about but also not disappointing.
Plot: 2/5
Spice: 3/5
Characters: 2/5
(The Good)
If you need a short little trauma book, this is pretty great. I really felt for Melody during the low parts of her story. It was easy to hate her first pack, easy to love her second. I was made at the world for Melody, which is kind of the point and overall I needed something to stab at my heart and this did it.
(The Bad)
It was short, and this moved quickly. Which isn't really that bad per say, but we still managed to fit in a (view spoiler) which is frustrating. It felt like there were no consequences for anything in the world, except for Melody and the other omegas. Which is guess was kind of the point I guess. The spice felt a little bland? My spice meter is kind of broken and this was probably more of a 2.5, but with multiple men I couldn't drop it lower. The erotica felt on par with the story, "OK"
