Elizabeth Zott is the epitome of determination and bravery in the face of hardship. Reading about her struggles and how she carried herself despite them was awe-inspiring. Through all of these she was also presented as a human the reader could relate to. Although this book took a very negative view on religion and theology, the ideas it presented were thought provoking and, for the most part, did not try to convince the reader to believe in them. The brilliant writing style and fantastic characters (6:30 being my personal favorite) make it hard to believe that this is a debut for Bonnie Garmus. I cannot wait to see what she comes up with next.
