This book just wasn't for me. I felt like Pooley was trying to create a cast of quirky cast of eldery characters who aren't quite what they seemed. Unfortunately, Richard Osman's Thursday Murder Club series already exists and he did it brilliantly. It made the characters in How to Age Disgracefully feel incredibly flat. And with an extremely slow plot, and flat characters, I really had to force myself to not DNF it.
