Shucked by Kate Canterbary

4.0

Man, I just really enjoy the way Kate Canterbary tells a story. I know, based on the family size, that we won't get as many Loew books as we got Walsh books (it'll be more like the Santillian series, I think), but she writes about families so well so I'm thrilled we're getting another one.

As always, I like peeks of characters from other books.

And I really *really* enjoyed both Sunny and Beck. Great character development for both! I felt for Beck so hard. He really did have the weight of the world on his shoulders and I can't wait to learn more about what happens with his parents in future Loew books. Which is also just aces because I know Kate isn't going to let me down. AND I suspect the timeline of the books will overlap so we should get more details.

Anyway, I'm happy this series is doing its thing.
