Apparently I’m a little late to finding out about/ reading this book. I went in completely blind and was shocked, to say the least. The story was beautifully written with sophisticated & elegant language which perfectly encapsulated the time period and setting of the novel. It is detailed, graphic, and provides beautiful imagery in all the right places.
