It took a while to get going, but when it did it was almost as enjoyable as the first. The plot felt a bit scattered, but the characters are still mostly likeable and the prose is both beautiful and easy to read. Overall I'd say it was a satisfying sequel and I'm looking forward to the finale, which is all a second book really needs to do for a series.
