Hello Beautiful by Ann Napolitano

5.0

A college basketball star, William, falls in love with Julia, the oldest of four sisters, and marries her. When he marries her, he marries her family. Sadly, his parents ignored him all his life, and his resulting depression tore my heart out. Switching viewpoints between William, his wife Julia, and her bookish sister Sylvia, this heart-felt family saga portrays the effects of broken relationships on this Italian Chicago family, but also explores the bonds of love. It made me cry. I loved it. My first favorite book of 2023.
