I just finished Royal Valentine (the book before this) and it wasn’t great. Wanted to give this one a try in hopes it would be better, and it was only slightly.
The romance in The Attraction Distraction was more worked out, as the two characters were ex’s and had a past. There was also more plot in this book, a little mystery, adventure, etc.
The writing of both books though was very juvenile. Did your high school English teacher ever say “show don’t tell”? Well this book was a “tell” book, which read pretty oddly. Overall, an okay romance, but not one for a lover of slow burns.
