No Angel by Daniel May
3.0
Okay..this was an odd one, but good. Only because of the creepy crawlings inside it.
The warning at the beginning had me intrigued although I do not like the eight legged things at all. This was a different take to them. Shed a different kind of light on them. Am I still wary of them? absolutely!
This was a quick read for me and although it was hard to grasp what the main point was at first I got it the second time around when I reread certain parts, it all clicked together.
This was almost a beauty & the beast type of situation but just dirtier in a way. That's the best way to describe it to me.
Slowly but surely Enzo pieces together what's going on and the situation he is in and then accepts it.
The way that the scene is described in "his mind" I guess we can call it or hallucination is what made it all click together for me in the end.
I have not read anything by this author before but this was a great glimpse into something completely different to what I normally read. The sci-fi factor was that perfect added touch to something dark.
