I remember liking this a lot more last time I read it. However, the Narnia collection I have numbered the books in chronological order instead of published order and I regret reading this aloud to my 8 year old before reading “The Lion The Witch and the Wardrobe”. I’ll be finishing off the series in published order.

Reading them in chronological order was a fun change up for me a number of years ago because I already knew what happened. But, I could tell my son was confused as we went through it because he wasn’t drawing connections to the other books that you would normally be able to.
