This Mortal Coil - A History of Death by Andrew Doig
informative
medium-paced
3.0
This book was fine. It was well-written and academic, with some interesting points and valid discussions.
However, I'd say it's more of a brief overview. If you've already read other books on death and dying, you probably won't find much new information here.
I found some of the British-centric information a bit problematic, and there wasn't much insight into how major issues like the climate crisis could impact famine and death in the future. Overall, it was a decent read, but not my favourite on the topic.
