I was slightly concerned about how this book would play out given it’s over 500 pages, but this book did a really good job with finishing up the entire series. It definitely didn’t need to be as long as it was, there was a ton a back and forth between Lana and Cal, but given that we also had to learn their backstory to understand Lana’s reservations towards Cal, I’m not mad about it. Even with the back and forth between the two, it also felt like they were always continueing forward in their relationship, with mostly Cal, learning from his mistakes and actively working towards being a better person, not just for Lana and Cami, but also for himself. This book also touches on my serious topics involving addiction and although I can’t personally speak about how accurate Cal’s journey may be, I did like how it played out. I also love that we got to know more about the grandpa’s letter and the final farewell letter involving the dad. Overall, this was a great final book for this trilogy!
