THE adventure fantasy book that launched a thousand imitations. Several reviews have already said more that I ever could so I’m just gonna share amazing memes from this:
-“One does not simply walk into Mordor.”
-Sorry, you can’t use the Hidden Move Fly to get to Mordor unless you’ve been there already.
-A *insert occupation here* is never late, he arrives precisely when he means to.
-Negative reviews of a Tolkien book: …
Gandalf: “You fool of a Took!”
-Gandalf: “You shall not pass!”
Balrog: “But I got a lava bath, fire lilies, and everything! Am I not good enough for you?’
-Sauron: Dominates Middle-Earth.
Also Sauron: Loses because his jewelry was dropped into lava from a naked crawler and a farm boy.
-“ There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.”
-Every salty guy ever after losing a game: So you have chosen…death.
