Persuade You by Ashley Rayne
4.0
"You brighten up my day and all I want to do is stay in your presence."
I was not prepared for the eye sting with this one.
I went in blind on this book just based on the author and I was not let down at all.
Carter & West just pull you in and hold on until the end.
The best friends aspect is a favorite of mine and this one is certainly falling right into that.
Carter has loved his best friend for a long time but after awhile it's a hard pill to swallow that he won't love him back in the same way. It's time to try and move on.
West does everything with his best friend, they live together, they grew up together and even decided on the same college together but not everything goes to plan. West is left out of a serious part of Carters life, the dating one. He doesn't like his best friend keeping things from him, not when they have always told each other everything. Why is this different
When that pivotal moment hits and it all becomes clear, that is when you get the shift from West & Carter.
This one to me was a bit angsty but not enough to call it an angst filled book, there were just those little moments throughout.
There is humor, feelings, a touch of co-dependency and so much more that made it difficult to put this book down. Add in the bi-wakening, the praise and all them spicy scenes and phew was this one so good!
Don't worry it isn't all rainbows.. trust me. Like I said, eye sting.
Turns out your best friend was the only one who didn't seen it coming.
This is the best intro into this series and we get the perfect epilogue for Carter & West.
