A murder mystery AND lesbians?! Sign me the hell up! Unfortunately, one half of this gay lady duo is the victim, so that’s depressing, but there’s plenty of introspection and lovey feelings shared by the main character to make it part of the GSM YA lit repertoire.

There’s past prescription drug abuse, so steer clear if that’s not cool with you.

The story itself is interesting. It wasn’t fast-paced so much as medium-paced. At least, I didn’t know who the killer was until near the end (but still before the reveal) and the addition of the (SPOILER ALERT) soccer coach was weird and kinda from left field since he was barely mentioned at all until the end.

That being said, it’s a heartwrenching story of love and loss and family and friendship and yes, lesbians. Good stuff.
