The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck

5.0

Would recommend: Yes

It seems kind of cliche and obvious to give this book 5 stars, but it is SO good. John Steinbeck is a master. I was pleasantly surprised by how the language and structure sucked me right in, and I really enjoyed it. I finished reading it on the treadmill at the gym, and I felt silly because I teared up at the end. It might sound weird, but the book reminded me of [b:The Road|6288|The Road|Cormac McCarthy|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1320606344s/6288.jpg|3355573]. Something about being constantly on the move, driving forward, and desperation, I think. Read it! It's so worth it.
