A Woman Is No Man by Etaf Rum

I had to take my time reading this book because the content was so intense. That being said if you have a hard time reading books that involve domestic abuse or rape then you should probably pass on this book. The book does not focus on these topics however they do occur a few times throughout this book. The book was so interesting and it had so many twists and turns throughout the entire story and you get to see it through three different perspectives. It's crazy how much alike Isra and Deya are. I want to stay as vague as I can but still show how much I really loved this book because this book really shouldn't have that many spoilers out. It kind of reminded me of The Book of Essie because looking at the book you wouldn't think it was going to be all that interesting, but as soon as you start reading it the book is very captivating. It just took me a while because of the content but also because I'm busy with work and planning a wedding. I loved that I had the chance to get this book through my Book of the Month subscription and I love that I read this book. It's actually one of the few books that I get through this subscription and actually pick up within the month of getting it.
