I think I had my expectations way too high for this book... There was barley any romance and even what was there had little development. I never actually liked Darcy, yes he redeemed himself but he was still annoying. 
The best way I have to describe this is a dairly life kind of book, and I think the writting shines when it's about the family life. Loved Elizabeth's father as a character, and also Elizabeht her self

The fact that when there is the big romantic reveal at the end Jane Austen just says that he was romantic and doens't show it was so disappointing. Honestly I think the movie does it better. Also Darcy's speach gives a very "you're not like other girls" kind of vibe
