I think I had my expectations way too high for this book... There was barley any romance and even what was there had little development. I never actually liked Darcy, yes he redeemed himself but he was still annoying.
The best way I have to describe this is a dairly life kind of book, and I think the writting shines when it's about the family life. Loved Elizabeth's father as a character, and also Elizabeht her selfspecially the discussion with lady Catherine .
The fact that when there is the big romantic reveal at the end Jane Austen just says that he was romantic and doens't show it was so disappointing. Honestly I think the movie does it better. Also Darcy's speach gives a very "you're not like other girls" kind of vibe
