Morgan by Riley Hart
5.0
I am REALLY looking forward to the rest of this series. I think Easton's book is going to be fascinating and Rhett's book is going to break my dang heart I just know it.
Morgan and Dusty (whose name I loathe) were just victims of fate and circumstances. The timing was never right, and then it was and things got all fucked up. It was all awfully sad.
NGL, the easy rekindling of the friendship that was completely abandoned for an entire decade was on my weird radar but other than that I really didn't have any complaints.
Morgan's dad is a huge dick and the super villain of the story. He literally tore his entire family apart and everyone suffered for it. I would LOVE some more backstory on that guy. Geeze he was awful.
The fact that all the Swift boys were just completely fucked in the head due to their traumatic childhoods was angsty enough, but then add in Dusty who made a big ol' mistake and added more damage. Holy Guacamole, there were enough big feelings to supply a Costco.
Second Chance Romances are not usually my cup of tea, but this one seemed to hit the spot for me.
