Timeless by Declan Rhodes, Declan Rhodes

"Here, with me, is where you belong right now.”
This was a different type of book in the best way.
The title is very fitting for this story of a HEA that was earned in the most peculiar way.
Nico & Dylan are the sweetest, separately as well as together.
Dylan struggles with who he is deep down while Nico embraces who he is.
The introvert with the extrovert.
The way that their story unfolds is done so well that it can't be mistaken for what is happening in any sense.
Dylan's struggles are very real and true, being an out and gay man in sports will always have risks no matter what or when. Nico is like a breath of fresh air when Dylan meets him in the most unexpected way and realizes that he is also gay but doesn't hide it like he does.
This book was one that was very easy to follow and not get lost due to the "situation" that Dylan faces. There was a quite a bit of filler throughout but it just added to the story of these two men and their journey to their happy.
Main point that stuck out to me is, acceptance & love. Not only for yourself but what you can accomplish once you embrace who you are and accept it all in no matter what, when or where. There is no holding back once love plays a factor no matter at what point in life you are at.
Declan is a new author to me and it was refreshing to get a story like this. A good emotional read.
