Hooked on You by Nikki Ash
4.0
As always with a new Ash read, I devoured this in one sitting. Loved both leads, enjoyed their respective drama and trauma, and while it was all 100% predictable, I loved seeing it all unfold.
He’s broken from being burned pretty badly before; so is she but without billions to fall on, she’s also homeless and trying to get on her feet. Very fun read.
Instalove.
Single dad.
Billionaire hero.
Single mom.
Workplace romance.
Nanny / employer romance.
Adorable kids.
Fresh start vibes.
Overall:
A fun read. I struggled with plausibility a little—the instalove after they both, individually, are like, ‘No / I’m not looking for love / the other g3nd3r is all out to get me.’ But one could argue that they just fell THAT HARD for one another as well. I loved both leads so much and was happy they found each other.
I also love how a touch of suspense was added in, as it definitely kept me engaged.
4 stars.
