I loved how distinct the main characters were in this book. I always appreciate how tightly Henry ties a character's childhood to their current job to their relationship fears. (In this case a woman who was bullied in school and deeply lonely because of it, so she travels to always meet new people and feel like she can be the popular person/whoever she wants to be, but that means she finds it hard to commit to one person due to fear of rejection. And a man who lost his mother and had to play the parent role growing up and is now terrified to commit in case he experiences that loss again.) I wish we had found out what happened on their previous vacation earlier and I wish the romance plot started earlier. Because I read Funny Story first, this almost felt like the opposite perspective of that book :P
