I must confess that this book initially took me by surprise in a very different reason. I didn't read its synopsis so I didn't know its plot; I thought it was romance-centered which I was dreading but wanted to see for myself since I've been seeing this series just about everywhere on bookstagram. Imagine my surprise to find out it's crime/mystery!! And in Victorian London era on top of that! This was so well-written and I'm so happy when I found out that I guessed who the killer was. Eeep!! I'm already gushing about this to my friends. I loved every page and I look forward to the rest of the series.
