I’m only at 43% but I already know this book will be 5 stars, plus my favorite of the series, and William Grayson III will be my favorite mmc of Devil’s Night, and probably one of my favorites of all time.

Finished, and yes, this book was perfection, perfection, PERFECTION. I have been obsessed with Will since Corrupt and every book after just continued to completely ingrain him into my heart. He’s literally the cutest, sweetest pookiebear on the entire planet.

First of all, his love and care for a girl that never gave him the time of day. Bro was so smitten with Emory, and was just always trying to make her life a little bit better. Surprising her with kosher-approved snacks in her locker on Yom Kippur because he knew she had to fast. A stuffed Godzilla plushy because he knew she loved the movie. Homework assignments he completed for her because she lost hers. This was all while she completely ignored his existence.

I can’t even tell you the amount of times I teared up over cute things he did for Emmy. Even while he was “mad” at her (even though I’m 99.9% sure it was all a ruse he tried to tell himself because he was still so in love) he continued to keep watch over her and protect her, and always put her safety and needs first.

I also want to address her relationship with Damon, because it was literally so heartwarming. Him giving her the key to the Carfax room when he knew she was being abused and having that safe place changed her life dramatically. Her helping him bury his mother’s body and not judging him because she understood. Him building a new gazebo with her blueprints and saving her time capsule that was buried underneath. And this was all while he didn’t even like her because of what was going on with her and Will. Their relationship was just so special and I loved seeing it.

Emory is such a great character. I loved her so much. I understood her perspective the whole time and she was never purposefully malicious to Will. My heart broke with what her brother put her through and I think Will, Damon, and even Aydin were all huge contributing factors in her overcoming her trauma and rising above the past. She just developed some of the strongest bonds with so many of the characters and I was obsessed with it.

Also, the spice in this book? In. Sane. Honorable mention goes out to WILL AND DAMON. God, I was sweating during that scene. All boy best friends should get each other off, please and thank you. Plus the train scene… Penelope just went for it with this book and I thank her for that.

This series was amazing. I’m sad it’s over. My official ranking is as follows:
Mmc: Will, Damon, Kai, Michael
Fmc: Rika, Banks, Emory, Winter
Couple: Will/Emory, Damon/Winter, Michael/Rika, Kai/Banks

Finally, answering the question I went into this series asking myself:
Penelope Douglas’s Four Horsemen or Rina Kent’s Heathens?
I love both so very much, but I do have to say I love one group just a little bit more, and that is… the Heathens. Nikolai and Jeremy (even Killian’s crazy ass) just hit different, plus Brandon and Landon from the Elites. But I’d live happily ever after with Will or Damon as well.
