A very satisfying conclusion to this dark fairy tale. I really enjoyed these books. I know they were criticized for a lack of world-buildong, but most fairy tales are that way. So many of them were focused on characters and their flaws and foibles.

I liked the symmetry. Power does require balance and good and evil are just ideas, so often. From who's perspective?

All in all, a very enjoyable first outing from Hannah Whitten. I'll be reading more!
