This is tough. I like the general premise of the book, most of the plot and the lore. BUT! The MFC is soooo stupid. The author made her blind to obvious details just for a "grand reveal" around 70% of the book. Why?! The reader already has guessed what is what....

Second problem I have with this book is related to the fact that I read the English as well as the Bulgarian version.  The translation is horrible. Is there no poet fo help out with the rhymes?! Are there no synonyms?! I mean, the English version is not some Shakespearean chef d'oeuvre, but the Bulgarian is simply the worst. Each quote at the begining of the chapters was painful to go through.

However, as I said, I loved lots of stuff about "One Dark Window". Plus the atmosphere is just the right thing for cold winter afternoons.
