Self-Therapy: Transform Stuck Parts of Yourself Into Inner Resources of Strength, Love, and Freedom by Jay Earley

5.0

Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a psychotherapy model founded by Richard C. Schwartz.

The basic premise is, that people are not psychologically unitary, but rather are made up of various psychological parts.

And sometimes those parts can be in conflict.

And that can super suck!

Everyone has experienced internal conflict, whereby part of you wants one thing, and another part of you wants another, or your “heart” tells you to do one thing, and your “head” tells you to do something else, and you can’t decide.

This type of inner conflict can be the source of massive suffering, relational problems, procrastination, and all other manner of psychological unpleasantries.

These types of inner “dynamics” are what IFS explores in detail.

And it can be very powerful, very transformative work.

One of the cool features of IFS is that you can do a lot of it on your own (without a therapist).

This audio program (simply put) tells you how to do that.

And it’s REALLY powerful and REALLY good.

I’m a therapist.

And as such, I feel compelled to say that no self guided therapeutic work can replace working with a qualified and trusted therapist.

That being said.

I worked through all the exercises in this program, and WOW.

WOW!!!

Very profound experience.

Highly recommended.

I LOVED it
