Graceling by Kristin Cashore

Great seas. This book—this world.
I don't know why nor did I intended to, but lately, I've been stumbling upon books with places that are set not in our normal Earth or of the dystopian kind, but of a whole different world.
First was Throne of Glass, followed by Falling Kingdoms, and now, Graceling.
All of them have that medieval feel of kingdoms and royals with horses and ships as transportation, secrets and myths unravel which lead to war and blood and gore, and magic, magic is everywhere. I fell in love with all their worlds and the characters living in them; it is astounding.
What sets Graceling apart? The curious and beautiful phenomenon they call Grace. It ranges from being great at combat, climbing trees, and cooking (basically the "normal" stuff) to mind-reading, weather seers, and so much more I won't say here for they will be spoilers. People who are Graced are considered cursed by most of their people, but I see the total opposite. Being Graced, especially one that is useful and unique, is one of the best things that can possibly happen to a person! Plus they get different colored eyes (Google heterochromia) and the colors depend but they all sound so beautiful.
Everything about the Graceling Realm sounds beautiful.
My heart just made room for yet another book series and I'm pretty sure this wouldn't be the last. That makes me happy beyond words.
