I really enjoyed the world-building and the ghost talking/magic. I enjoyed that there were rules and ideas around magic and the world. The writing was OK, but the dialogue and narrative seemed too contrived, it was trying too hard. And the plot/mystery was not hugely engaging for me. I didn't really care why it was happening. For others who read YA and enjoy it more, would probably like this more.
