Very good
Pros:
- very gripping writing, with mixture of sci-fi, apocalypse, thriller genres
- surprisingly modern for a book from 1951, only the names and a couple mentioned dates dated it, otherwise it could've been 2020.
- very original and inventive story, but also plausible in many ways, and satisfying ending
- just as good as all the hype, very tight plot which all joined up really neatly
cons:
- some sexism in portrayal of the women, but Josella's depiction overall is pretty good and I liked her a lot
Really liked it, would re-read
