Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare
5.0
Ok, i will agree with some of the comments that i have read because it did remind me a lot of TMI but i feel that specially the the settings in which the story took place, really set it apart from TMI.
I really love the characters in this book, as always Cassandra Clare is amazing in creating lovable characters. But i do feel that some of the characters have a really strong resemblance to the ones in TMI.
The first character in which i noticed this was Jessie because in the very first scene that she is in, i inmediately saw something in her that reminded me of Izzie, and i think that the settings of the story are what set them apart because it changes what the they want but in the esence the two characters are very similar.
I also saw a resemblance in Jace and Will, i think i mostly see the similarities in their sense of humor and in that you can see with both characters that they are hidding their vulnerability and how broken they are.
Between Alec and Jem, i think the resmeblance is less notorious and you can only see it in the relationship that they have with Jace and Will, respectively. And also in that they are both hidding something and are judged by that.
At last, i think that Tessa and Clary are the characters that are less similar to one another. I love how Tessa is more intelectual and loves books and i think i really like the way she treats Will and how she can be sarcastic or witty when she needs to. On the other hand, Clary is more artistic than intelectual, and i think thanks to the settings of the story, Clary can seem more fierce.
Actually, i really enjoyed this book and i really want to read the next one because even when it has similarities to TMI, i still found that it had unique elements that caught my eye and also the way in which Cassandra Clare writes, it always manages to spark my imagination.
