Fair Catch by CE Ricci

3.0

I know it isnt fair to compare one book to another, especially when they're not even in the same genre. But Ricci is my go to angst gal. If I want a good heart ache while I read, she is almost always a safe bet.
Lately her releases have been decidedly "lighter" still a little bit angsty, but they just ain't hitting the same for me.
I felt like Fair Catch was somewhat forgettable, especially if you remember how dirty Kason was done in the previous novel. I was really hoping for some big feels.
Alas, this book was sexy, but the conflict was kind of stupid (IMO) and I felt a little bit like the characters were flat.
I dunno, her more recent releases have not been my favorite and I hate saying that because there isn't really anything inherently wrong with them
