Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones

This probably would have been better to read, vs. listen as an audiobook, but since I did listen I have to admit—I just couldn’t really get in to this! And no, I’ve never seen the movie, I didn’t even know it existed then tried watching after finishing this (couldn’t get past 5 minutes).

The book still gave off a whimsical and fun vibe at times, but I just could not be pulled in to the magic of the story. I found my mind wandering away, none of the plot points really keeping my attention. In fact, I find it hard to even remember what the plot was! As for characters, I really didn’t like anyone other than Sophie, and even she was kind of annoying! And I know people love Howl, but… why? I just don’t get it.

If you’re reading for vibes, you would like this, but the story just was not there. Again, it may be better to read it vs. listen, and maybe I’ll do that some day, but it just seemed a bit boring. Just not my thing!
