Pageboy by Elliot Page

emotional reflective slow-paced

3.0

Deeply personal, emotional, and moving. Page's story is hard to hear at times, but (unfortunately) so relatable for many queer and trans people out there. Towards the end, he mentions how grateful and lucky he is to have been able to have access to the care he needs to live his life, and also mentions how fucked up it is that this care is not a given for many/most people. Couldn't agree more. Gender affirming care SAVES LIVES. It was particularly poingent to read in the wake of Trump's inauguration and all the news from that this week. My heart aches for all that we will endure, and all that those who have come before me have endured. But we get through this together ✊
