Captive Wolf by L.C. Davis
3.0
Soooooooooooo
Once again, LC Davis has a good book, but its a little too wordy and drawn out for my taste.
I liked the characters well enough, there was definitely some potential there for the characters to be amazing. The plot was the same way, very Romeo and Juliet. However the author never fully delved into anything. Lots of side characters and names got in the way of the actual plot and mains. There was a lot of first person POV which I enjoy, but Jake was in his head a lot and it made it extremely difficult to like Roman due to the fact that we never really got to know him. The romance felt rushed due to the weird cadence of the POV flipping and I never really recovered. The war time plot was interesting, but again, not much came of it/I wasn't ever invested. Just a meh book
