new kate daniels book! pretty much the same as any other kate daniels book, as in, fast-paced, violent, quippy and viscerally satisfying in a brain candy way, but i must tell you, the dynamics have improved drastically once kate and curran moved out of the whole pack business thing. AND the word 'mate' wasn't mentioned even once through the whole book, which helps me a loooot. also roland the nagging dad is never not hilarious, and he's utilized just right here, on the exact verge between ridiculous and creeeeeeepy.
