This was a re-read, and I loved it just as much as I did as a kid. These books were hugely popular when I was in middle school, and it’s super easy to see why. It’s a brilliantly written novel, and has excitement and heart. Even though I know the story backwards and forwards, I still found myself crying and my heart pounding in certain moments. Everyone should read this series.
