I appreciated that this was sort of a "breather' story from the main 'Roland and Friends' plot, while still tying in, and I really enjoyed the return of Kate's Merc-with-a-mouth status! I love the strong partnership she shares with Curran, and the bond with Julie, and all the feels this book made me feel. Can't wait for the next one.
