I tend to struggle with the pacing on these cozy fantasy books. It's not their fault but there's just not enough going for me to focus on. That said, once I really focused in on it, this one was very sweet and enjoyable. Mika's desire to belong but fear of putting herself out there resonated an uncomfortable amount. I recommend.
