This memoir was so heartbreaking to read. Listening to the book through Jill Duggar and reading it with the photographs felt immersive and like a more in-depth documentary. Although there were points that I felt were purposefully vaguely alluded to or glossed over, like the relationship of Jill and her mom. You can feel Jill healing through the book, and it is incredibly courageous for her to share her story being under a toxic “umbrella of protection” with cult-ish undertones, through the IBLP church as well as simultaneously navigating being on reality tv. I went back to rewatch the documentary after reading!
